3rd job change, Nobless, Hero System
As a result of the 'Make Chronicle 4 Together', the high-level content has been divided into three parts. So that all high-level players can be satisfied, 3 different systems have been prepared. It is expected that the existing level limit will be removed.
3rd job change
After garnering players' opinions through questionnaires and polls, they changed their plans away from their original plans so that more players could derive enjoyment.
That is, at first, they were expecting to require the subclass' level to be maxed out before the 3rd job change would be possible, but now with Chronicle 4, it is expected that even if one does not have a subclass, one can achieve the 3rd job change through a quest.
The 3rd job change differs from the 2nd job change in that it does not further classify/break down the classes. Rather, there will be various skills obtainable only for those who have achieved the 3rd job change. And these skills acquired at the 3rd job change can be strengthened and enhanced through a skill enchant system.
Skill Enchant System
The skill enchant system differs from the existin skill system in that the skills themselves can be enchanted like items are enchanted. Existing skills require a certain amount of SP to learn. Aside from SP, experience gained through increasing a skill's level through skill enchants is required.
If the skill is enchanted [strengthened], relevant skills will make the weapon stronger and attack skills' damage will increase and the effects of effect-type skills will be magnified.
For the skill enchant system, like the item enchant system, when an enchant fails, the skill will be reset, so take heed. Of course, the experience and SP spent on the enchant attempt are not restored.
Nobless
Compared to the 3rd job change, the requirements for the Nobless system are a bit stricter. After making the character level 75 in the basic class system, players who have made their subclass level 75 may undergo the change to Nobless. Similar to the 3rd job change, the change to Nobless is done through a quest. Once a Nobless, there are various abilities and skills accessible to the player.
* Being Nobless is a requirement for a Hero.
Hero System
The Hero System is an ultimate symbol of high-level content and only Nobless may participate. Through the "Grand Oympiad", on each server 1 person from each class will be made a Hero. So for each server there will be 31 heros.
For each class, there is only one hero, and when one becomes a hero, one is provided with items unique to heros. To whoever can become a hero, they will provide various incredible effects.
The Grand Olympiad is a type of PvP tournament. For each class, only the very top person may become a hero. There is a point system for participation and various benefits are expected.

New Regions and Hunting Areas
In Chronicle 4, there are two new regions added: Rune [Ruun?] and Godad. Rune and Godad are located north of the Aden region and belong to the Elmore continent. The Aden empire and its rival the Elmore empire are expected to appear in earnest in the game. (L2Center's notes: Playforum says 8 new fields and 2 dungeons are to be added.)
Besides this, the form of Godad Castle's holy artifact is completely different from the existing castles'. And even during siege, rather than having to break down castle doors the method may change to pitting players against players in PvP.
New Hunting Areas
Out of an interview that President Kim Taek Jin did, as a service for hunting, various new hunting areas that are fun and not tiring to hunt in have been added.
Rather than simply arranging monsters, various backgrounds will be introduced and the existing simplistic monster AI will be discarded for a stronger and more diverse AI and new monsters armed with this form of AI will appear.
Especially since starting with Chronicle 4, the servers will be based on 64-bit architecture, it will help quite a bit and provide a large solution to the processing that was not possible before. Additionally, rather than adding several patterns to a monster's AI, the monsters' AI will be changed to have many various forms.

Mini-game Fishing Added
It is expected that in this Chronicle 4 update, as a mini-game, fishing will be added to the game.
In previous Chronicle updates, for some casual and light-hearted enjoyment, various systems were prepared and in Chronicle 3, dice games and monster races were added.
Similarly, in Chronicle 4, as an additional mini-game, fishing can be enjoyed wherever there is a body of water. There will exist varying levels of fishing regions according to the region's location and information. Also the rewards are expected to vary by the difficulty of the fishing.
Since fishing can particularly grow tiresome, as a consideration, Chronicle 4's fishing will not simply be just waiting, but will exist in a spectacle form resembling the progress of fighting.
Fishing will not simply finish as a mini-game, but it will be a way to obtain new items that are difficult to obtain through normal hunting.
Fire Dragon Valakas
The 2nd dragon to be added to Lineage 2, Valakas, differs from Antharas: where Antharas' wings were merely 1/4 its size, the wings of Valakas are gigantic with an incredible wingspan and will produce a far greater majestic apperance than Antharas' did.
Where Antharas was very slow due to its size but had incredibly powerful attacks, Valakas will use its smaller size and its wings more effectively to appear quicker. Valakas, especially, was designed through Chronicle 4's new monster AI to introduce a new level of ferocity not yet seen in any existing game by enabling various attack motions and presentation.
Battling with Valakas will enable the display of the wisdom of dragons far greater than those of human's that can be seen in novels.
