10 Things we learned from Spiderman 3

1. EMOs are a product of alien symbiosis

2. If you find yourself running from the law, no problem! Just hop over the gate that says ‘DANGER! Particle Physics Experiment in progress’ and you’re in the clear.

3. If your girlfriend is hanging from the roof of a demolished skyscraper, never fear. Nonchalantly take some pictures and introduce yourself to her father, who also doesn’t seem to give a shit.

4. Flipping pancakes and listening to vintage dance songs will only lead to adultery.

5. Black is the new red. And alien goo is the new cotton.

6. If you ever find yourself battling a giant sand person and a jagged-toothed photographer alongside your best friend who just tried to kill you, be sure that you and him exchange ‘witty’ banter at every opportunity. “I’m a little busy over here, buddy.” “I’d love to help you, but I’ve got my hands full, buddy” and so on.

7. If you want to kill someone real bad, then go to church and pray and maybe, if you’re lucky, God will provide you with an alien suit made of pure evil.

8. Sufferers of amnesia just can’t help smiling ridiculously and eating ice-cream. Oh life is good when you can’t remember anything.

9. Bad boys eat cookies, drink milk and mimic their lecturers down the phone in a hilarious manner.

10. Is your girlfriend feeling down? No problem, make her feel better by passionately upside-down kissing some really hot chick in front of her.

Lets Speak English (Английский клуб) Part 2

Just read a recent issue of a Russian men's magazine and found out an interesting fact. During the summer here (which to me is like a mild winter), Russians refresh themselves with this cold soup made of ice-cold kvass (weird national drink most closely compared to non-alcoholic beer), sausage, cucumbers, onions, boiled eggs and sour cream — just imagine this horrendous concoction!!... And get what they call this "soup" ... They call it "ohkroshka"... pretty difficult to articulate, huh? And now get ready for a translation. "Ohkroshka" means "oh baby"!

'I used to think they should legalise pot, but you know what? They should ban the whole lot. One thing leads to another: coffee leads to Red Bull, Red Bull leads to crank." Ozzy Osborne
*For those who don't know: "crank" is a sleng for "meth", "crystal".

I seem to be the only male ever browsed that topic..? Ffs. Extraordinary. That's my middle name. xD
And for conversaton's sake... What exactly were you talking here about guys?.. :P Or is it mainly nothing in particular. Then i'd like to participate. Not too often though. Well, on the other hand, it depends. Cause i'd rather keep my english on some reasonable level, since no much opportunities to practice it, hence it gets worse and worse. :( And... pardon for my lame grammar.

vengeance, No, you're not the only one :)
Cuz this topic is sooo new, and comes as part 2 of related top, where you can find almost only males :)

Ah, 10x for kind words. :-) Though, i've never really studied it, i mean, thoroughly. Every time each approach was narrowed to gossipin' with companions from abroad or watching movies in english, and so on. So there's no reason for you to underestimate yourself, yor english seems to me as fluent, sufficient, if not perfect.

*LEO* 26.07.2007 16:20

vengeance,
Oh,it's not perfect. I wish it was...
Perfect is more than exaggeration in my case, unfortunately...
Actually, the only english-speaking place I visited was Singapore (not so english, but much more chinese, apparently), and it was only a brief business visit. And I don't have a degree in english - I don't have any degree, to be honest... I work much with foreign countries, though.
