Product Description: The Very Best of the Human League is a DVD by veteran British Synthpop group The Human League, containing most of the band’s music videos recorded up to that point, digitally re-mastered. The only music video missing is Filling up with Heaven from 1995 which was excluded due to a licensing fee dispute between Virgin Records and EastWest.The DVD also contains as bonus material 4 notable appearances on UK BBC 1 flagship music program Top of the Pops and two songs from a live set performed on BBC 2 program Later with Jools Holland in 1996. Also included is an interview of band principals Philip Oakey, Susan Ann Sulley and Joanne Catherall; conducted by Simon Price.

История "Human League" – это история по существу двух радикально различающихся британских групп, одной прогрессивно-экспериментальной, другой мелодичной и коммерческой. Первое воплощение группы было сформировано летом 1978-го в составе: Ян Крэйг Марш (р. 11 ноября 1956, Шеффилд, Англия; синтезатор), Мартин Уэр (р. 19 мая 1956, Шеффилд, Англия; синтезатор), Фил Оуки (р. 2 октября 1955, Шеффилд, Англия; вокал) и Эдди Ньютон.
Последний вскоре покинул "Human league" и был заменен клавишником Адрианом Райтом (р. 30 июня 1956, Шеффилд, Англия), который был также режиссером представлений и ответственным за визуальные эффекты. В начале 1978-го группа подписала контракт с независимым лейблом "Fast Product". Их первый сингл "Being Boiled" звучал очень необычно и привлек к себе внимание другой компании, "Virgin Records".
Дебютный альбом группы "Reproduction" продавался неплохо, но все же широкая известность к ним пришла с выходом ...
